2Ku operational update for March 23, 2017

It seems like it was just a few short weeks ago that we last announced a milestone in our 2Ku installation updates. For those who haven’t been regular readers of our blog, 2Ku is the revolutionary new dual satellite antenna technology we’re rolling out to many of our existing and new airline partners. Visit this link for our 2Ku information hub.

The technology is already on a pretty decent chunk of the Delta fleet, and several of our international airline partners are also flying with large portions of their fleets dedicated to Gogo 2Ku. As we slowly move into Spring, we’re excited to announce that we now have over 150 aircraft equipped with 2Ku. This is once again a major milestone, and we’d like to take the time to call out many of the teams out in the field that make this happen – especially our global logistics center, where we’ll be shipping over 1500 “kits” in the next 2 years.

Another well deserved mention of our installation teams all around the world, and finally the 100’s of hardware and software developers back home who continue to work tirelessly to make 2Ku the best in-flight broadband system ever developed. These are the men and women of Gogo who turned our concept into a fully operational system with over 1500 planes waiting to be installed.

And finally, you’ll see something else we love: happy customers praising 2Ku. We’re extremely excited to get this new technology on as many planes as we can, and even happier when we see customers taking advantage of the speeds this new service has to offer at 30,000 feet!
