During the weekend of November 18, Gogo participated in the Frequent Traveler University (FTU). FTU is the largest non-profit traveler education organization teaching participants how to travel using frequent flyer miles, hotel points and credit card rewards.
This year, the organization put together a three day show, consisting of a welcome day with networking event, an expo and education day, and a day of premium educational sessions. The newest addition to the show is the travel expo, consisting of presenting companies in the frequent travel space. Since the event was in our home city of Chicago, we decided to attend, giving us the opportunity to chat with local frequent travelers, and discuss our newest technologies as well as our newest airline partners.
Thanks to their frequent travels, most of the attendees were regular Gogo users, and many had even used our new faster 2Ku global broadband technology as well as our Ku satellite product, currently installed on Delta aircraft and JAL aircraft in their domestic fleet.
The event in Chicago hosted around 2000 people from all around the world, and we shared 30,000 sq. ft. of exhibit space with our fellow sponsors. The Gogo booth offered guests a lounge atmosphere, as well as more exciting activations like our famous “spin to win”iPad game and video demonstrations of a 2Ku instillation.
We’d like to thank the organizers of FTU for putting on a wonderful show, and to everyone who took the time to stop by the Gogo booth to chat with us. And finally, a huge congratulations to the lucky prize winners from the Gogo sponsored speakers lounge event.
