Gogo and T-Mobile became partners in September 2014. Our initial promotion was launched in San Francisco at an incredible event with CEO John Legere and CTO Neville Ray where T-Mobile announced Gogo as part of their Uncarrier campaign.

The campaign launched by offering all T-Mobile customers free messaging for the entire flight, as well as 1 hour of free service on their mobile device. We’ve since expanded this by offering free unlimited Gogo when subscribers add the T-Mobile ONE Plus or ONE Plus International add-on packages (on select airlines).

T-Mobile In-flight Texting is supported on the following US-based airlines:

  • Alaska Airlines (including their Airbus fleet)
  • American Airlines (only on flights offering Gogo service)
  • Delta Air Lines

Customers can even take advantage of T-Mobile visual voicemail to stay on top of incoming voicemail notifications and voice to text conversions (when subscribed).

Connecting to the service is easy; just connect to the inflight SSID on your mobile device, open your browser, then follow the steps displayed when clicking on the T-Mobile banner in the middle of the in-flight portal. Most of your questions can be answered on our customer service portal.

We’re incredibly grateful for this partnership and love seeing how happy it makes customers from both companies. Every day we see what a success the campaign is thanks to customers raving about it in social media. You can join in by posting to Twitter with hashtag #TMobileWingMan.
