Weekly 2Ku update – December 6 2016

We’ve had another very productive week installing our 2Ku satellite system. Today’s new total stands at 74 installations, bringing us well on our way to reaching the 100 aircraft milestone we set for ourselves in 2016. In addition to these new installations, we also celebrate the launch of our Chinese airspace satellite coverage, making Gogo one of the first to offer uninterrupted global coverage.

With 2Ku, we deliver global streaming capable Wi-Fi to your seat, as well as gate-to-gate service. This means you’ll be able to start a streaming movie while still at your departure airport gate, and fly around the world with non-stop coverage. You’ll currently find 2Ku on AeroMexico, Delta and Gol (Brazil). Soon, you’ll also be able to enjoy our 2Ku service on Aer Lingus, Air Canada, Air France, American Airlines, British Airways, Iberia, KLM and Virgin Atlantic.

Later this week, we’ll also focus on what the “radome” is, and how it helps you spot 2Ku planes from the outside. For those of you with a keen eye for aviation, this could also be your chance to win some really fun Gogo gear!
