Last week, a team of Gogo employees took off for Hamburg, Germany to represent our company at the Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX), the largest aircraft interiors show in the world. Over 500 manufacturers and service providers exhibit at the three-day trade show to promote everything from cabin carpets to inflight entertainment and connectivity.

Our expansive booth, designed by our in-house creative team, exhibited the latest products and services available in our Gogo Inflight Internet Portfolio, including 2Ku, ATG-NG, Gogo FLEX Inflight System, Gogo Vision Touch and Gogo TV. The inviting booth was buzzing the entire show, with representatives from many global airlines and airframe manufacturers stopping by to check out 2Ku and speak with our Gogo leadership and sales teams in one of the two large private meeting spaces.

One of the highlights of the show was the announcement of Air Canada’s selection of 2Ku as a line-fit option for 45 Bombardier CS300 aircraft. Our team, including CEO Oakleigh Thorne (far left), celebrated this exciting win alongside Air Canada with a champagne toast!

During the show, we also unveiled Gogo FLEX Developer (part of our Gogo FLEX Inflight System). This introduction was a hit, and show attendees were positively excited about Gogo FLEX and the incredible opportunities it can enable for our partners. This Get Connected article shares some of that excitement in an interview with Danny Sack, our Director of Product Marketing.

Gogo also participated in three panels, offering our expertise in Inflight Entertainment and Connectivity, Connected Aircraft Services (CAS) and how we’re shaping the future of the passenger experience. On April 9, Scott Ralston, Gogo’s VP of Product Management, joined airline and technology representatives to discuss the latest innovations created to deliver inflight entertainment services focused on individual passengers, making their experience personal and responsive.

Then, during a panel dedicated to the future of inflight entertainment, Cassidy Shield, VP of Marketing (speaking in the photo above), shared how Gogo is shaping the future of the industry: “Passengers want to access their own content onboard and the device doesn’t matter: their own tablet or the seatback.”

And finally, TJ Horsager, Gogo’s Director of Connected Aircraft Services, spoke about predictive maintenance and Gogo’s CAS offerings during Flight Global’s forecast sessions on April 11.

All in all, the show was a great success and provided Gogo with an opportunity to display our latest innovations and show the industry how we’re continuing to go farther to leverage our industry-leading technology to enable unparalleled products and services.
